Our Pick from the Open Reading Period: Terror / Terrible / Terrific by Rebecca Wadlinger

admin—January 9, 2018

We took our sweet time again picking out a book of poems to publish for our readers. We fell hard in love with dozens of books, but we fell hardest for Terror / Terrible / Terrific by Rebecca Wadlinger. Octopus Books is proud to publish Rebecca’s book in late 2019 or early 2020. Thank you to the 300+ poets who submitted to our open reading period in 2017. We appreciate your support, and the chance to read and consider your work. We hope you’ll give us another chance this coming April.

Rebecca Wadlinger is the author of Terror/Terrible/Terrific (forthcoming from Octopus Books) and the translator of Gro Dahle’s surreal Norwegian collection A Hundred Thousand Hours. She is a graduate of the Michener Center for Writers and the University of Houston’s PhD program in poetry. Her work has appeared in Best New Poets, Tin HousePloughshares, and elsewhere.
